Weather looks good but a bit chilly. Same route as the last few weeks, Bwlch, Mini Bwlch & Bettws.

Same format, tempo up the Afan Valley for 40 minutes. I won't be able to stop in the cafe I'm afraid (got to get back so I can fill my face at Cowbridge food festival!!)

All welcome.

Next week we may venture around the coast for some variety. Thoughts?

Hope you had a good ride! What are your thoughts on going round the coast next week? Basically doing the old 9.30 ride in reverse?

Its a good route, I did it the other week Rhys, Andy and Jez. If anyone gets shelled during your power effort they can skip the Ogmore loop and go straight through the valley. Another short cut is also available at Llandow and then Pencoed.
Can have a bit of a regroup on the run in to Bryn Garw.

Less of the short cuts talk, if not shelled out by cafe could return via Bwlch

Fortunately for me I got to get back asap for my nephews birthday

Another great ride with the gruppo in what can only be described as brass monkey conditions.

Dave C, Dan P, Jamie F, Greg Beaut (somehow I don't think it's an abbreviation of beautiful  ), Mike H, Alex P and Jez J rode tempo up the Afan valley, over the Col de Bwlch and its smaller relation enroute to Bryngarw park where the group split between coffee lovers and get home early boys to bank the brownie points.

Really enjoyable workout with great company.

Over the last month or so, there has been a good showing from a regular few and various members who can only get out when work/domestic commitments suit, so hopefully the enthusiasm will last through the winter with good turnouts.

I must confess that I have become addicted to having my 1 or 2 rides over the Bwlch each week during October, not sure how I will manage cold turkey riding the low roads now the winter appears to be on us :|

I'm not about for the next 2 Saturdays, but look forward to more freeloading in the sense of wheel sucking while 'Dave does Tempo' soon.

Keep it up guys :D
