Jugsy (the club's unofficial Saturday club run captain) took control of the 09.30 Hardriders with a planned shopping trip to Rocky Mountain Cycles in Talbot Green. The only thing was... they were closed :(

Well, I didn't need anything anyway and it was a damn good ride well marshalled by Jeff and Martin although I had to have a grizzle on a few climbs  After the disappointment of the shop being closed we had a cracking bowl back to the cafe with a big tailwind. Of course, the softriders were already there but the medium-softriders were enjoying going around the Ogmore. Well done chaps!

A big bunch of about 30+ left the cafe for a nice ride home where I decided to gracefully slide to the back of the bunch on the Fountain Road climb (where the level crossing is) before managing to take advantage of the confusion when everyone slowed down due to a puncture (?). After that, the action bypassed me somewhat and perhaps someone will post who won the sprint as it happened about 600m from where I was.

Loads of younsters were out again today which is fantastic. Could I just ask the youngsters to concentrate when they are doing Mach 2 when following a wheel as towards the end we almost had a chute as they say in France. Nuff said.

See you at Martin's 25-miler tomorrow where we could be seeing the tandem record broken by Sean Yates and Michael Hutchinson. :)

Jack, young Martin won the sprint and spot just pipped me at the post for second. But all in all a very pleasant day out, and great to see so many people out and the youngsters as well.
