Here is a great idea.

Why dont you all enter the Cwmcarn 4 up team time trial on the 9th of June.
Then you can all be free to marshel, push off, serve tea etc on our event on the 21st. I wont be chasing around for marshels and visiting teams wont get lost like they have the last two years due to lack of marshels on the course. Making us look a bit poor.
Then we can have 4up event on any Thursday night for a bit off fun.

Enter the cwmcarn 4up on June 9th

The organiser will take entries as long as they hit his doormat, this week.

I can't do 9th of June, since I am minding a child. I also can't see how our event can possibly need 24 marshalls.

If I'm called on to marshall at this one, then so be it, but there has to be a slightly fairer way to determine what we all put into the club, and what what we can take out.

I've marshalled in a PTW Open Event this year, and will marshall another one before the year is out. I've timed a PTW Club Event this year, and will time another one before the year is out. This is likely to be my only open event (at all) this year. How is it reasonable I can't go to one event?

With marshalls at each entry/exit roundabout /junction, pushers off, caterers, timekeepers,signage, and organisers too, its surprising how many bodies are needed.
Also, and this is an age old problem, with in the region of 100 club members in the club there should not be a need to help in more than three or four events but you have to discount those who are ill or too young and those who are just too lazy or selfish and those who just don't know !!!
On that note, I still need a couple more volunteers for the 50 on the 10th June

Being too young, too lazy,ill,and selfish , i do have other redeeming features, i have already told Dai that i will be available to help for the 4up, Anthony i will confirm about the "50" next week

Bill its not an unreasonable request to ride one event a year.
My personal opionion and again its only personal is that we can have a club 4 up on any Thursday evening. I think it would be more popular than a hill climb event! ............Discuss and post

Will phone you straight away but anytime tonight between 18.00hrs and 19.30hrs is OK. After that we're in the pictures (gotta love that whole Orange Wednesday thing).
