Today's clubride started with the BBCR and rambler ride combining to go East to Llantrisant and over some mountain with no tarmac, and a windfarm that wasn't working. Past amazed looking sheep  , as some 15 cyclists made their way on rough mountain track to the Blackmill cafe, and we only had one puncture.
It started to rain after we left the cafe heading for Tondu and Doc Richard's hill. However, just before the hill, Pip's rear mech jammed and he stopped dead. Yours truly just glided into the back of him when my back wheel locked on the wet smooth new tarmac! Pip had to phone Christine to pick him up, and the rest of us had to soldier on through the rain.
Got back to the Plaza at 1415hrs, wet but happy. Mike Davies went well again this week and is improving with every ride.
Had a longer write up, but I lost it for some reason when I went to preview it!
Excellent club ride this week Spot, with the pace similar to the old days. Keep this up and we will have more than 20 riders out regularly!

Nice write up Kev, but you forgot to mention the monster climb before the mountain track...

Nice to see the Cwmavon Kamakasi Pilot on form today though....

Click on the link below and then on the view details tab and you should be able to see where we went and the climbing we did.

Nice one Les. In my original write up I mentioned the climb and a lot more, but when I lost it, I filled the air with naughty language (Eleanor told me off!), so I did a quick write up instead.
I've got a sore hip this morning, and a stiff shoulder -- But the bike is perfect!
Just to update - Two lads had to get off and walk for a short bit of the quite large climb - get the picture!!!
