PTW

Going East, with Ewenney cafe being the tea stop. Looking to do the Ogmore by sea circuit, and this will stretch a couple of the rambler regulars a little bit more than they have been used to. Hey, no pain no gain!
However, as before, nobody will be left on their own and will be encouraged all the way.

After a night of storms, Sunday morning turned out breezy but dry and sunny. The rambler god came up trumps again!
Six of us left the Plaza just behind the BBCR (Big boys club run). There was Pip, Kara, Abbey, Bev, Kev Rattenbury and me. Kev must have felt good (Lots of recent weight loss) 'cos he jumped over to the BBCR at the temp. lights just after the Taibach lights.
We had an excellent tailwind out, and picked up Bow just before Pyle (He had just missed the BBCR). We made our way through the lanes to Laleston and to the top Barn Hill. We then went through the Merthyr Mawr lanes to Ewenney.
Now, to say that Abbey was having a bad day in the office would be understating it. She went straight to the cafe (Bow had already left us) which left four of us to go around the Ogmore circuit. Kara is now the official rambler queen of the mountains. Sorry Abbey, but Kara suffered for that jersey!
Nice stop and chat in our favourite cafe, before making our way home into a nice headwind. Pip did puncture on Margam tumps, and at this rate we are losing super domestiques at an alarming rate.
Got back to the Plaza at 2pm with 34mls in the bag (And a very tired Abbey!).
Thanks to all those that rode today, but the turnout was a little disappointing.

Vets "Annual Dinner and Prize Giving" was today Kev.Some of your regular ramblers,Skippy,John Willy.Dai Triggs,I know were there.

Thanks Pete. I bumped into Will in Neath today and he explained everything. I thought I had upset people with something! Happy bunny again now!

Sorry i couldnt make it Kev, i had a phone call from work on friday to see if i could work sunday.

Queen of the Mountains eh? Well... I live to fight another day... But not this Sunday, I have to work again. Bugger. I might have to put some secret training in to get that jersey back on my comeback ride. I was weak, thanks for looking after me Kev. See you next time.

No probs Mike. You should try the half ten Saturday morning ride. It is a bit quicker than the rambler ride, but I think you have the fitness to do that. If I am there I will make sure that you will be looked after.
Abbey, I like your attitude, and I have seen you a lot stronger than last Sunday.
However, Kara might not give that jersey up as easy as that. Game on me thinks!

Secret Training will continue on 11th December at Medieval training camp... I'll be back with Ramblers fighting fit on 18th Dec...
