Right then, anyone out there with any knowledge of power meters?

Simon Richardson gave me a demo of his Watt bike earlier today, and I was very impressed!

Trouble is stationary bikes/turbo's bore me stupid so I've been reading up a little online about "powertap elite+ and SRM amateur systems with the view of maybe renting either for a few months and seeing how I get on?

My second problem is me & gadgets don't get on very well, due to my inability to read instructions properly and distinct lack of patience! Lol

Any switched on "Tech Heads" out there got any experience of the above?
I seem to remember a certain Mr Lloyd (senior) with something plugged into a laptop during our one & only Turbo session at the fire station last winter!

Dai there are a number of power systems out there. The one simon has is really top of the range for indoor but if you want one for outdoor SRM and powertap seem to be the market leaders. Rhys and Les both have them and would be probably be happy to give you more info just give them a phone.
My turbo is poor mans indoor trainer and there are plenty of them on the market also. I have heard a local top time trialist is doing testing and training programmes I wont say his name here incase he does not want it advertised but give me a call and I will tell you

Yeah let me know. Really eye opening stuff riding with a power meter. Takes a bit of homework to work out how to get the best out of it but there is no better way to train. FACT.
