A really tough call tonight whether to switch to the 10/23 because of a car that had left the dual 2 miles after the halfway point. I reckoned that even if they were recovering the vehicle, there should be room for cyclists to pass with care in lane one. I was wrong.

What I didn't bank on was that the police would close the whole carriageway, which actually meant that the first 4 riders off all got stopped mid ride, and the whole of the A465 East Bound was coming up the old road! Bearing in mind how dark, cold and slippery it was on the old road tonight, I'm glad I didn't switch to the 10/23, even though it actually means we have no valid times for four riders.
