Looking at some of the threads on our Forum regarding road congestion perhaps it might be a good idea to change the meeting point?
My suggestion would be to try starting at the top end of Margam by the entrance to the steelworks,plenty of places to park in the backstreets,and easy access to the Motorway.

Peter, as was pointed out to me, that's o/k if you're driving over, but most people cycle so they would have to go back through the traffic anyway. When the new by-pass is completed Taibach may be a lot quieter (Hopefully). At the moment I only see a problem with the ride coming back in on Friday afternoon. All the other regular rides come back into PT a lot earlier, and there is rarely a problem with them. Even with the new roadworks we haven't had a problem as long as we are in single file, the traffic passes us ok. However, that's just my opinion for what it's worth.
