Oh, and well done to Les Thomas and Steve Thompson on their PB's. Sing out if there were anymore.

Good job by Alf,with 22 riders.I,TS getting very awkward for any timekeeper now. They place the field, go to the start, call first off. While timekeeping they,r constantly having riders looking over they,r shoulder and asking what time they,r off. Surely if we had a run of numbers 1 to 30 or 80 to 110 it would solve all these problems. Much easier for everybody. Only a suggestion, what do others think. :?

Nice turn out ! 12 non members .... maybe if we charged NON members a fiver, we'd either reduce the numbers OR make £48 for the club !!!
( those mathmeticians amongst you will be wondering how 12 x 5 makes 48 .... we pay a £1 levy to the district for each rider - member or not )

Nice idea to start riders from 1 - 30,. But, there are a couple of things .... As you know, signing on is done at the car park where first come gets first number available and BEFORE the field is placed, then when and only after everyone has signed on can the timekeeper place the riders - which means some riders are only given their start AFTER some riders have gone !
Also the numbers used are old sets and distributed with four or five club members to ensure that if a timekeeper fails to attend, then hopefully there would be another set of numbers close to hand.
The last couple of years when I was club events organiser, I did sort out the various sets but within a few events , loads of numbers were soon lost or added to different sets !!!

So, er, to get this straight, when timing a TT I collect nothing at all in cash from anyone? Is that right?

I think CTT is kinda expecting (and in fact trying to force) us to charge something, e.g. £1 or £2. Any reason not to?

Electric bikes are great. They give ordinary people the chance to know what it feels like to be me.

If they are second-claim members then they've joined for the season, other than that you collect £2 on the night. Between Jeff, Les and myself we'll get an up-to-date membership list in place for the next club event.
