On FRIDAY a depleted road squad ie JAMES LEWIS and Dan travelled up to Castle coombe to ride the E/1/2 CLASSIC event and the 3rd cat event respectively, two other senior members were supposed to be in IRELAND to ride a stage race over there , but due to unforeseen circumstances ?failed to make it,DAN was first off the block ,but after several valiant attempts found himself in a big bunch finish ,just outside the points, Next up was James in the senior event , got himself into several breaks, but was pulled back by the fast moving bunch to finish 12th , out of a field of 90 riders , an excellent result considering the quality of the field.On Saturday ,the boys went up to the Kate Auchterlonie event at Usk, this time being joined by Hefin , ,where were the club s other road boys?this event being a h/cap event ,Hefin and James were in a proportionly small E/1/2 group with a h/cap of 8 minutes . the boys battled on and Hefin finished 4th while James came in 12th! again, so 3 road events for James in seven days and all 12th
