The club dinner photos are driving me mad!Its April now,every time i go on the forum on come the photos .Time we had a change?

well said Peter. Im looking at CJ sat on that chair starting to look like special needs. lol

Anyone who can log onto the forum, such as yourselves, can also upload photos to the website, which will then appear on the homepage. Therefore, just like Dorothy, the power has been with you all along.

Some might say this is a bit too open, but no-one is anonymous on this forum, so we will know who uploads what. If anyone can't do this let me know. It's been a long time since I tested it.

Dorothy must be very computer literate because I have tried and its far from easy.
Do we have a folder to put photos in.......no.
I have tried using the img[img][/img] which I think is short for image but that does not help.
I have tried the old copy and paste.

So unlike Luke Skywalker the force is not with me.
Anyway after much chasing around photobucket i think i uploaded a photo of rest bay, and my trusty stead, either will be refreshing on the home page.

I think the misunderstanding may be at step 1: Login to website.

By this I mean login to the main website, not the forum. Click on the PTW logo above, then enter your username and password into the 'User Login' box.

The same username and password that you use to login to the forum will work to login to the website as well. Once logged in you won't be able to do much, but you will be able to 'Create Content', and the only type of content you can create is 'Gallery'. Once you've created a gallery (and you can create more than one) you can then upload photos 5 at a time, and these photos will then appear on the homepage slideshow.

If anyone thinks this is utterly cool, then you're very welcome. On the other hand if anyone thinks this is a daft idea, then it's entirely down to the committee.

Thanks for the info.
I just did what you said and logged into the website. I clicked create content and tried to create a gallery , I then came to a very nice screen that had anchors on it and a place to type in a title .

The problem for me was that having never seen anything like this before, I couldn't do anything else.

So I did some experiments and found out how to do it.... here goes guys.

1. Log on to the main web site
2. Select "create content" press enter
( You select creat content by moving your cursor over the words and clicking the left hand button on the mouse)
3. select gallery and press enter
4. place your cursor in the Gallery name box and left click on the mouse
5. type in the gallery name
on the bottom of the screen you should see words Input format and two grey boxes "save" and "Preview" - Press save
6 left click on the blue text "you may upload images to this gallery"
7 Click on Browse and find the image file you want to upload on your computer
8 Repeat to add up to 5 further photos
9Once you have selected your images press submit images
10add comments etc and select save
