While we have all been concerned about Pip , another of our life members has had his own tragedy unfolding in Bridgend hospital..
Little John's wife Jen has died.
She was taken ill suddenly last week and sadly passed away yesterday.
On behalf of the committee I extend our deepest sympathies to John and their son Richard.
Funeral details will be posted early next week.
Condolences.

Thank you Anthony.
Our thoughts are with the Davis family at this desperately sad time and, indeed, with the staff of CJ Construction who have lost a work colleague. _______________ "The most important thing in life is not to have the most, but to need the least.” Plato (my favourite Disney character).

This is so sad and so very unfair. Pat managed to see Jen last week along with Margaret (Evans) from the Acme. They both thought she was improving but sadly that wasn't to be. All of our family extend our very deepest sympathy to both John and Richard who will both need( and no doubt get) a lot of support over the coming months. R.I.P Jen.

Our deepest sympathy John and Richard from my family. Jen always had a smile, and would always ask how my children were no matter how much of a rush she was in. Jen will be missed by all who knew her.

I couldnt agree more with the shock of Jens very sad departing of this world. I seen John over the weekend and he was putting a brave face on but the hurt and sadness he is feeling was in his eyes. Richard is like a rock to John. I'm really proud of how hes handling it. His positve attitude will help John over the coming months. Both John and Richard will be getting back into their normal routines as soon as they can as Richard says its the best way. I'll be encouraging John out on the bike when hes ready has the club will be of an enormous help for him. RIP Jen you were truly a very good friend and I, along with everyone else will miss you very much.

Well what a fantastic send off ! There must have been close to 300 mourners at the crematorium ! It just shows how well thought of and popular was Jen (and John too ).
It was great to see so many of the Port Talbot Wheelers and other members of the cycling community in attendance .
I'm sure John will be a sad but very proud man today.
Thank you all for attending. _______________ Supporting the club that supports you
