Can anyone recommend any tubs please.
Only going to be used for testing.
Looking at conti's or vittoria (open pave cx) currently, but due to how expensive they are i don't want to get it wrong!
Finally, would any "kind" member be able to fit them for me please, as i would'nt know where to start!!!!!
Thanks in advance.

Conti Sprinters or Competitions will serve you well, but I don't have that much experience of the wide range of tubs available I'm afraid!

Continental Podium is a good value time trial tub(currently £26.99 in CRC) and if you use Tufo Extreme tub tape which I use, very easy to fit even for a numty!

Gerard is right even a numpty like me can put a tub on.

I find it easier to put the new tub on the wheel with no glue. Pump it up and leave it for 24 hours. Take it off and then use your tape or glue.

Theres a real art to mounting tubs the traditional way, building up layers of rim cement, really time consuming and messy, but apparently worth it in the end. I can't be arsed with all that faf and have never had any issues with the Extreme tape, its a doddle to fit and very sticky, don't forget that once the tub is inflated on the rim its pretty damn tight anyway so in combination with the tape its sticks like S*** ** * ******K! I don't even carry a spare tub anymore, just a can of Vittoria Pitstop 8) I must add mind you that I'd actually prefer to run conventional tyres for ease of repair etc and don't really find the ride quality of tubs any better than modern top end clinchers, but the fact is if you want really light wheels you have to run tubs!

Another option is the Vittoria Crono Evo. I've run them taped on for 4 years now with no problems. I find Conti's a bit spongy. Just my preference though! These are pretty pricey - circa >£65 each, but there are variations within the brand that you can get for under £35 each.

PS I am training ..... a bit LOL

Gerard, did you have to tell everyone how much of a "numpty" i am.lol

Anyway, since taking Alfies advice and checking out various "mounting tubs" websites i,m considering giving up cycling as i don't think i'm gonna tear myself away from my laptop long enough to train!!!!! lol
