Glad to know that you're home now Peter. Take things nice and steady and listen to Nurse Shiela.

Mandy is going to make you a nice fruit cake - that'll build up your strength.

I popped in to see Peter today and he surprised me by answering the front door! He's on sticks but pretty nifty for someone whose just had a hip operation! He's shown me his post-op X-ray and seems quite proud about his hi-tech, top of the range titanium hip - specially selected for Peter for future athletic endeavours (I kid you not).

Anyway, despite some pretty vivid scars (the one on his calf is a beauty) he's mending quite well and now needs building up after losing half-a-stone.

It was nice to see you Peter and I hope you continue the great progress you've made so far with your recovery. All the best mate.

Hi Pete
Thanks again for your kind offer of help.
If you feel up to it you can man the signing on desk at hq for me. With such a large field riders get carried away and end up doing all sorts.
It's an important job therefore and it would be a great help.
This also means we can all keep an eye on you.
The girls can spoil, you feed you cake and assist your weight recovery programme
and
You can impress everyone with your tale of heroism and flash your
scars. 8)
