Unfortunately the 25 Event on Sunday was Marred by an accident to our own Peter Jones.

Whilst heading towards the Resolven roundabout on the outward leg, a motorist did not leave enough room whilst passing Peter and the wing Mirror of the car clipped his handlebars bringing him off at around 25 MPH.

Having Just spoken to Peter, he has badly Grazed and bruised his left shoulder and is still in hospital awaiting the results of an X-ray to see if he has broken anything. I am sure I speak for everyone when I say we all wish him well and as soon as I hear anything I'll let you know.

Of the event itself, once again turn times were available and the first PTW rider to record a time was Gary Gregory with a 40:44 outward leg. Hugh Davies recorded a 42:36 (OK get off the floor, that did include an 8 Minute late start.....)

Wyndham Thomas however didn't make it to the turn and had to retire due to mechanical problems and John Stroud' turn time was not posted so the next PTW rider recording a time through Aberdulais was Chris Allen with a turn time of 36:59. Rod Hicks got his outward legs going earlier this time and he went through Aberdulais in 34:33, I recorded a time of 36:05

Once more we had a wind assisted return leg and the final times were

Rod Hicks 55:45
Les thomas 58:06
Chris Allen 58:56
John Stroud 1:02:47
Hugh Davies 1:04:06 (8 Minute late start)
Gary Gregory 1:07:16

The event was won by Ceri Pritchard in 49:50
