Does anyone know someone who can analyse bike position - beyond the normal bike fit (had that done) to include analysis of the motion of the legs, possible need for cleat wedges, leg length discrepancies and highly knowledgeable in cycle related physiology - specifically refering to single leg pain at threshold?

(FYI I've had a CT scan and it ruled out external iliac endothrombosis - narrowing of the main leg artery starving the leg of blood at sub maximal effort)

Pip / Alf / martin - do you know anyone in welsh cycling union?

please help - I'm at the end of my tether now!!!

Go and see Jugsy, I dare say he'll be able to find out what's causing the pain and then you can adjust your ride position.

Andy , sorry to hear of your trouble , i do not know anyone personally in Welsh Cycling who can help, i assume the problem only occurs when riding the bike, so i can only suggest you get in touch with Mike Heaven on 01633670540 qt welsh cycling, explain the symptoms to him , . Mike is actually the regional officer ,but i am sure with his contacts he will find someone who can help. All the best, and i hope you find the cause of the problem , the squadra.s need you

Sorry i can't help mate got no contacts in sport science.... Have a chat with Tud though as I remember he once went to see someone over an issue with his ankle

On the other hand, I had a look in the Les Thomas bag of instant medical advice and the solution is to just press harder with the other leg until it hurts just as much :P

Have a chat to these. They go beyond the normal bike fitting. I think Nicole Cook had some shoe inserts made by them. They also have other contacts but they are expensive. Good luck.

thanks for all the replies i certainly will make contact them. I forgot to mention I have regular sports massage around every ten days - do tons of stretching - and I liked Les' comment about pushing harder with the other leg - nice one.

I'm gona be in and out of the country for the next 6 weeks - and hopefully start racing in June - leg permitting!

Davey - awesome ride in Ireland mate!

After completing his sports injury courses.Jugsy is over in Sandfields, plying his trade a couple o' nights a week, as well as over with the Swans by appointment. Must be doing summit right!. Thats what I was trying to get through to Andy, being an accomplished cyclist and trained in massage and sports injury AND on your door step, I think he could well be the type of person, one could gleen some advice from and he's a club member and he doesn't charge a fortune. All the people I've sent to him, rave about the treatment they get and all visit him on a regular basis. Just one thing, he don't do extras

A lady called Paula - I'm not sure of her surname. She's the masseur for the Welsh Hockey team. Really good elbows and Thumbs!!
