Hi all,

Please welcome to the world Llywelyn James Gannon, born last Sunday. He was 4.1kg (9 lb 1 oz) and seems to be fine. We had a marathon labour, which ended in both an epidural and a c-section, but that's all forgotten now.

Sadly we are all a bit stressed here because he only spent one night at home before having to go back into hospital. Newborns are expected to lose some weight, but must not lose more than 10%. Llywelyn lost 13% so they have been feeding him through a tube, and bulking him back up. He has now regained half the weight he lost, so he has officially turned the corner.

It's amazing how quickly things happen when you are only 5 days old. I think we could do without any more surprises :?

Well done! Mr and Mrs G, congratulations. Don't wish the boy on a bike just yet Bill, coz before you know it Llywelyn will be 50% of a 2 up team and you'll be just hanging onto his Wheel.

Congratulations to you both on your new arrival. I reckon he will cost you about 2 to 4 mins on your 25 PB. Never mind Bill, you will still be faster than me. As Rhea says, it will be an interesting 2 up in not so many years ahead.

Thanks for the comments. We just want the little guy home now, and Fiona is sorely fed up as well. She's been mostly in hospital for a week and a half, and they're not the most relaxing places.

Gotta laugh because the food on the ward is all for kids. She literally had a choice of either Turkey Dinosaurs or Alphabeti spaghetti. I've been smuggling her in some proper grub :)
