Well I guess that is a reasonable start with 11 entries for the Abergavenny Hilly 22 and I'm sure everyone wishes us all the best for tomorrow. I've included the list of PTW riders and their start times below. :P

But you'd never be able to accuse me of complacency and I'm sure there are several other riders who could have got their backsides over the Bwlch quicker than me and got the club some extra points. If I can get my fat ar5e over these hills in an effort to gain some points for the club SO CAN YOU......Next event I will start to name names so........be warned get your entries in for MD2 or be prepared to be abused....

SO FOR STARTERS, DISCO YOU CAN RIDE 22 MILES ON YOU OWN....... I'VE TOLD THE ORGANISERS YOUR COMING SO THEY WILL PUT UP EXTRA SIGNS SO YOU WON'T GET LOST..... AND JUST IN CASE YOU DON'T KNOW WHICH IS THE END OF THE ARROW TO FOLLOW THEY PUT MARSHALLS OUT THERE WHO WILL POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION AND EVEN SHOUT INSTRUCTIONS TO YOU IF YOU GET REALLY CONFUSED  ............... GET YOUR ENTRY IN FOR MD2 OR ELSE,,, ;)

OK, Squadra Chrono were back out in force this week and it was a bright sunny and warm day for the Abergavenny Hilly 22.5. With the enforced route change no one quite new what to expect but everyone was a little worried about the Bwlch a tough climb that was going to hit after about 3 miles...... I thought it was going to hurt and hurt it did...... Added to the mix was a headwind, some steep short climbs and some long drags up to Brecon but then a rapid return to Bwlch once again...... aaaaargh! What better way to enjoy a Sunday Morning...

Of the 11 PTW members who entered Unfortunately Rod Hicks and John Stroud didn't make the start line and Nigel Pitt recorded a very creditable 59:42 only to be disqualified as he had not SIgned On  and had left before the organisers realised his mistake.

The riders returned as follows
Richard Gambling 53:18
Spot 55:30
Chris Allan 58:58
Les Thomas 1:01:36
Peter Jones 1:04:07
Skippy 1:5:40
Dai Triggs 1:13:34
John Willy 1:19:20

The event was won by Tim Rose of Abergavenny RC in 51:20

BRITAIN EXPECTS MORE ENTRIES (and finishers, complete with signing on etc....LOL) for Round 2....... Its on the Saint Athan 10 Course On Monday 3rd May Entries to

Cant say I enjoyed the ride or scenery like "Gambo",now I remember why I stopped riding "Hillys",the power -weight factor,in other words too bloody heavy!!!Several riders were just using road bikes with aero bars mounted on their handlebars, tights were being replaced with bib shorts, aero hats were not much in evidence, the Sun was shining, the signs were there,it was going to be a hard day.Skippy was just finishing as I was just starting,UP UP UP he shouted, how I hate those words! The Bwlch was every bit as bad as I had remembered when I rode the "Mon Hilly",and Ron the photographer was there to capture the pain of it.what a sadist that man is!The writing was on the wall for me, riders started passing me,70,71 and 75,I was not having a good day.I rolled in with a 1 hour 4 mins, was hoping to go under the hour! Got back to the H.Q.,someones done a 51minutes!,just what i didnt want to here!Still I got some points for the club, will I do it again next year?Yes,better than a session on the "Turbo",but only just!

Hi Guys I've had a look at the WCA Magic Dragon Web site and by my reckoning, Cwmcarn will be leading the team event with 806 points, Merthyr will be second with 695 points and we are third with 588 points.

So a big well done to all that rode MD1.......
