Good God, 5hrs!! Your boredom threshhold must be off the scale. I did 1 & 1/2 hrs once and I felt like topping myself! Now, I reckon I have clocked up 700 or more turbo sessions over the last 11yrs on the oil rig & have found (For me) that a minimum of 45mins (Warm up 10mins, 30mins train, 5mins cool down) and a max of 1hr (Same warm up and cool down) keeps me interested/motivated. I believe it is the intensity it is done at is the important bit so intervals are great, cranking it up the second half of the session. I use a magnetic (Variable resistance) turbo and this is great for giving yourself a good thrashing over 1hr
