As I heard a few people in the cafe yesterday questioning what it was like in the Peny Bryn lanes I had Karen to drive me through there yesterday afternoon to take a look.

There are about four areas of ice between the top of parc slip and the A48, most of which are passible with care. Two areas are bad. one between the house where Pip fell off last year and the wooded area before Aberbaiden farm (Its the descent where all the gravel gathers on the left hand bend). And second on the descent from Penybryn where there is always water on the road just after the house.

Here the ice is about 4" thick with two very small tracks of tarmac that a single cyclist could pick his way through but I doubt a group could without getting off.

Hope that is useful and keep safe if your out It'll soon be sunny 8)

Cheers Les! Looks like it will still be a few weeks before we're going through there again.
