I was expecting to see more people use the forum. Its a good way to chat and have a laugh. I would have expected it to be quiet at first but its a shame not more are using it. Maybe it be an idea to add links in like bike retailers etc. I would divide up the forum into sections aswell. eg like a sale section, wanted section, technical section, light banter section, bike chat, mountain bike section, training section etc etc etc. I did offer to help and this still holds.

I really don't see a problem and it's absolutely fine as it is. Things are quiet but cycling forums and guestbooks do go quieter 'out of season' (check out the WCA website and count the number of posts in the past week).

I've just logged in and I've got 18 unread *topics* let alone goodness knows how many posts. I could be here to after midnight (dang it, missed it already...).
... seriously, more forums can be provided, but up until the summer you were all using a flipping guestbook. There's some out there for whom the shock of all this freedom will simply be too much. My next priority, when I get a moment, is to create some more static pages for the main site. We haven't actually got a page that says when the club goes riding, or how to join the club, etc. _______________ Electric bikes are great. I think some of the guys missunderstood what Iwas suggesting and surely all suggestions could be taken on board even if you didn't want to do them. I'm certainly not undermning the sterling efforts you have put in. I was basing my suggestions on some other forums I visit. Also Bill, is there any chance of making a better link to get back to the main site. I was looking round for the link and only clicked on the PTW in left hand corner by accident. Only a suggestion. NO one is twisting anyones arms here or undermining anyone. I'm only offering ideas has I am interested in forums. |

Yes Bill keep up the good work, your doing a grand job.
I used to run a web site for Skewen angling club and there were one or two people that thought they could do better, but never got off their buts to do any thing. _______________ Live long and prosper ![]() |

I was actually at the meeting when this forum was thought of being set up. I was one of a few who was going to work and help run the site. It was never to be though. I put it down to me not attending club nights or the fact I havent ridden any club rides. I was prepared to give the club everything I could offer to help run this site. |

I dont know what bike to get . I was hoping for a cheap winter bike but I cant find anything to fit me and I dont mean fat wise. I'm looking at a race bike with flat bars at the moment. They seem cheap to buy and ok for winter. I mean it nots like I'll be fit to ride any club rides anyway for a while ![]() |
