It being the end of the year I'm trying to work out a full summary of what the club has done. Review of the Year type thing.
However, I don't think there's anywhere on our website that records how much we have raised for charity this year. Does anyone have the full list? Not just Tŷ Hafan but Fathers for Justice, etc. Such huge achievements need to be emblazoned across our front door.
There also doesn't seem to be any mention of Avril Swan at all. I know she did something notable, but what exactly did she do? Same goes for Sweepy.
I know about Tank at Maindy, but that's because Pip and Alf do such a good job of keeping us up to date. But we don't have a full record of the medallists at the Welsh Track champs, or of Griff's achievements wherever it was he was competing.
As you can probably tell, if I'm having trouble finding this stuff out then we are definitely doing a bad job of publicising ourselves
If people could paste relevant information onto this thread then I can put the story together. Is it possible there are notable achievements I have completely missed? All info appreciated.

Bill , Dave Crowley has put in several excellent reports this year on the road racing scene, perhaps you did not read them!. The club finished the season with the best placed Welsh second category rider , namely James Lewis, narrowly missing his 1st cat licence by a few points. We finished 4th overall in the team standings,James again ,abely assisted by his team mate Dave Crowley , no mean feat as they were up against teams with far more superior (in numbersat least if not in ability).Sweep ,what can you say , a true phenomenum, recording personal bests at all distances consistantly throughout the season. Our best trackie Griff taking Welsh masters sprint title as well as competing in the WORLD masters games and the WORLD masters cycling chmps both held in Australia recently

Certainly no slight intended! Fact is I don't quite get Road Racing. I read, it goes in, but I'm never quite sure what it means.
However, the whole point of asking is to get answers, and I'm quite happy to be told what to say. I'm just seeking Club Publicity. It's worth considering that any local newspaper will be more than happy to publish any well-written story with local interest. A summary of our year would certainly qualify for that, so long as it can be comprehended by the uninitiated. _______________ Electric bikes are great. You'd think so Bill wouldn't you? But my 2007 PBP was completely ignored despite someone (not me) telling them and then me sending in my ride report. I've also regularly send in start sheets and result sheets for the four national championships that I've organised on behalf of the club and the West Wales but seen nothing in print or had any feedback whatsoever. _______________ "The most important thing in life is not to have the most, but to need the least.” Plato (my favourite Disney character).

We had a press secretary who used to send in regular reports on the clubs racing activities,be it time trial ,road racing ,or track , to the local press but rarely did they appear, so i guess with the non appearance of the reports in the local press , the report did not go in., The same problem exists with Cycling Weekly , who you would think would cater for cycling results , but all they are interested in at the moment is sportives, unless thy get their hands on an alleged doping connection,so any up and coming talented youngsters do not get a mention, or any other cyclist for that matter, in whatever dicipline they compete at.
