Hi All,

Our rowing club's towing vehicle has been given its death certificate by the garage, which leaves us needing to hire a towing vehicle for the weekend of the 27th September.

Does anyone in the club know of a cost-effective vehicle for us to to hire?

The vehicle must be capable of pulling our rowing trailer fully loaded with rowing boats (which looks very much like this):



The Hire for Monmouth on the 27th September will be required from Saturday evening (or very early Sunday morning) to Sunday evening.

There is a company on Village Farm Industrial Estate in Pyle that hires out a variety of 4 wheel drive vehicle. They should have something.
I think they are called SHS

Does anyone in your club know somebody who might LEND you a vehicle for the weekend ?
a farmer maybe ? or somebody working on building sights ?

many thanks for the replies. Really appreciate it. Our captain has now hired a vehicle, although I understand from a different company. Well, we tried. Can't say I know any farmers, and I bet their vehicles never get a day off anyway

On this occasion we've got so many going to Monmouth that the trailering fee charged to each competitor will cover a fairly hefty hire charge. However, any way we can save money for the next time will be very useful.
