PTW

A very big thankyou once again to everyone who helped out tonight,numbers were down on the first event, which was a bit dissapointing, , but i suppose they are saving themselves for the NATIONAL ROAD RACE on Sunday, a few moans about the handicapping ,especially from the green men from Cardiff, ,but in general a successful PORT TALBOT PROMOTION. Once again many thanks for you r help,

Only comment I would make is the handicaps need to be reconsidered a bit!

Davy, you are sounding like the boys in green,on consideration , perhaps they need to be longer!

Excellent event yet again Pip - can't see what the boys in Green have to complain about given they bagged 1st and 3rd after sitting in the whole race!! (not my evaluation - feedback from the 2nd and 5th place riders!)

Nothing wrong with the handicap, scratch group needed to keep organised once they caught the 3rds

How do you start this road racing buisness?? Got my toe in with the TT's but would be interested to have a go at it. I really don't understand the cat 1,2,3 etc thing. CAn you race on your own? or do you have to be with a team?? What's the form? It's somthing I've been thinking about for next year, if possible.

Hi Gambo,the process can be a bit daunting,no you do not have to be in a team, but it is advisable,an excellent reference is on BRITISH CYCLING website, click on ROAD and then you will see "how to get into road racing", follow the promts and this will explain it fully, hope this helps and encourage you to have a go,
