Hi guys, trying to organise at least three (probably 4) teams from Aber RC to come over and try to compete with the Cwmcarn!!

Being a roadie (and tight) I don't have a CTT handbook - could someone let me know who the organiser (inc Address) is and the entry fee and I'll try to get them all in the post straight after Billy's 2 Day.

Thanks

Steve try and do me a favour and put all the teams together. Its hard work when individuals just send an entry.
Thanks

I have 'team TT' entry forms at the ready!!

Just worked out that we may actually have enough for 5 teams  although 3 is more likely - wimps!

Entry Fee??
Member
28 pounds per team.

5 teams would be a record entry from one club. Look forward to see what arrives.

Better start thinking about our teams...

Possibly Rod, James Lewis, Andy Evans and I for one team?

Stop thinking. Put it on entry form and post to me with a cheque for 28 quid.

Its better than standing on a roundabout with a flag in your hand.

Hey guys, we got a new guy join the club this year fron the ACME - Jayson James. He's good for 56mins for 25mile on his own. Worth considering for any team!!!

Right guys. I'm still looking for a team to join for this event. I've managed a 59 and a 63 so far this season, and I'd rather not be holding a flag.

If you are interested in joining a team for this event (Thursday 18th June 6:00pm over R25/3H) then please post your name here.

I'll be up Resolven on Thursday with a form. Should be a blast.

I'll throw my name in if anybody's interested in riding with me. Not done a 25TT as yet, but sure I could stick it.

Many thanks Gambo, you're in the team :)

The full team assembled last night is therefore: Bill Gannon, Chris Allen, Richard Gambling and Glyndwr Lewis. Better get the entry posted.

Actually, I suspect we are going to need the other 3 forms because each rider presumably has to sign the declaration? Therefore please bring a form next Thursday and I will post them on together.

I got the start list yesterday. We are starting at 18:28, and the clubhouse is the Rhigos Rugby Club, so you certainly don't need to get there before 6pm.

I believe you still need to bring a form with you, if for no other reason than to sign the declaration that you agree to abide by CTT rules, etc.

Just a note of Correction to Anthonys news posting On Thursday nights TTT, Glyndwr Lewis (who I must say looked Resplendant in a Port Talbot Wheelers Jersey as they came Flying through the Turn). Is a member of Maesteg Cycling Club and not the Acme. :D Apologies to the Acme for this oversight. :D

.........(hee hee couldn't resist)

Great times in what I'm sure was a very hard night.

Now I wonder What Stuart would look like in a Port talbot Jersey?????

Yeah good night and some good rides. That headwind out was tough but having Tank to shelter behind made life slightly easier.

Poor old Glyndwr "9 bikes" Lewis never made the turn at Aberdulais. In fact he barely made the Hirwaun roundabout 1 mile from the start. One of the bolts holding on his tribars sheared, we discovered later, so clearly he couldn't go on.

You will note that this is a much better excuse than that of Andy Smith, who was so late for the start that the rest of his team simply left without him. Perhaps we should call it an Arriving On Time Trial?

Andy has 'form' when it comes to starting late. You may want to factor that in next time!

Yeah, tough old night out there last night, but Me, Chris and Bill, I think managed a respectable time. Good fast run back from the turn. Shame about 9 bikes :-). I do owe James an apology as he lent me a top, which I did leave on the table, but forgot to give it too him at the end, so If you didn't get it back, I'll have to sort you out a new one.

I wanted to pass on my thanks to PTW for last night’s excellent 4-up TTT.

This was my first time trial, and was very impressed at well organised and friendly it all was. Can’t wait to do it again next year. I was unable to post on your message board, but perhaps you could pass on my thanks to those in your club who organised the event.

Cheers

Awesome ride last night guys - great performances by all. The last 2 miles were especially uncomfortable for Me and Rod thanks to the efforts of Disco Dai and The Tank lewis. Much pain was duley recieved!!

Good ride Charles, but that green kit and matching green helmet did nothing for you mate!! lol
If you 'd had some of the "A" teams warm up gear - readily available in a number of colours now, (and I think James used too much as it looked like even he had a tan!!) you'd have gone faster again!

I'll see you Thursday when you'll be back in proper colours!!
Member
That pain is dished out every Tuesday night by the Tank and Disco. Feel free to join in.
