Enjoy the magic bus where ever it may lead.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control I have had to pull out of the End to End ![]() _______________ "We can't all be heroes because somebody has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by" |

Sorry to hear that Tim!, but you along with anyone else would have still been more than welcome to come along on the(as it turned out) the mystery bus. Mystery bus! takes me back to my childhood school holidays, all the mothers in the village would club together and arrange a mystery trip for the children and once under way, they would organise a prize for the person who could guess the destination, uncanny as it may seem, the bus driver won every year
. Anyway back to the long'un. Well, well, well, worra day to sling an appendage over a velocipede and pedal aimlessly in one direction, just to turn around and pedal all the way back again. 8.01 a.m and an already sun scorched Briton Ferry witnessed me leaving the police station layby and head North to meet Rufus on route. Teaming up with Ian in the Melyn area of Neath we continued North up through Tonna across the valley in Aberdulais and North again to (Ian puncturing just below the cricket club)meet Mr Martin Edwards at the top of the Rock and Fountain massif. A 180 degree turn and we were then headed South, back down the valley, a sharp right at cadoxton and up Penywern hill, down to Pontardawe to meet Mr Bruce. From there we went through G.C.G, Ammanford and on to Llandeilo, just before Llandeilo at Ffairfach r/about we turned left and parted company with Martin and Jeff, themselves carrying on with their journey west and myself and Ian going down through Golden Grove to Nantgaredig, where we turned left up past Y Polyn and on to the Botanical Gardens for a ham roll and a couple'o cups of tea. From there it was down through Pontaberem, pontyates, pont newydd right at Trimsaran and down to Pembrey. Burry Port and the Pavillion Cafe( very cyclist friendly) for a second stop, then onto Llanelli, Bynea, gowerton, Clyne valley, Black Pill, Oystermouth Road, Fabian Way and Home. Not to sure of the milage, about 90 me thinks, but WHAT a day for cycling, good company, stunning scenery and fantastic weather, what more could a cyclist ask for?!!!!!! ![]() |
