Hi All
After having my first road bike (second hand felt f55) i am not having any luck, only been out on it once due to hols and work. On receiving bike the chain was jumping gears and virtually impossible to get right, so checked rear cable and found it knackered/badly frayed in lever side so replaced and much better.
Also went over MP cycles and they checked chain and was badly worn so bought a replacement and fitted. It know sounds like a 'bag off nails when cycling' and chain jumps on rear sprocket badly when spinning backwards.
Am i correct in thinking the sprocket is also worn ?
I live in Baglan so have some steep hills to climb so what do i need to look for ??
Also the guy in MP said it unlikely be worn as hard wearing titanium mix (dura-ace) but could offer replacemnet and nearly had heart attack when he told me price !!
Anyway any advice for a newbie much appreciated as can not wait for a ride in this weather.
Cheers

You probaly find ur cassette is fooooked, if the chains got that bad that u could feel its worn when riding then the cassette is almost deffo worn out too, ring jeff bruce at dream bicycles 07970-897259 and get ur self a ultegra cassette no need to buy a durace one to be honest get a 12-25 if ya can, i can pick it up off him and bring it to the club failing that pick one up from tredz , u may find tho ur free hub body may be on its way out, if u mean the chain jumping as ur free wheeling. Any way start with ur cassette if u get one today let me know if i need to pick it up off jeff and i can meet u at the club at fit it for u.....

Ordered yesterday afternoon and came today, only the larger 3 rings are connected and the others are loose ? Is this normal ??
Let me know whenever it suites you Charles, speaking to couple of mates yesterday and mentioned whats happening with my bike and they know of you, said he's fully into his bikes etc.
Cheers
