Thoroughly deserved it! and what an exceptance speach - he really is the sports 'personality' this year and works wonders for British Cycling, and an inspiration to millions. Unlike Bradley Wiggins - what a complete arse! arrogant self indugent prat! We're supposed to look up to this guy? no thanks - a lesson in not how to do it!
The sooner he buggers off to Slipstream the better - maybe he can compare head sizes with David Millar - he's good at that too - but there again, Davids clean now - guess that's why he's one jack since he returned from his ban?
That'll be a box ticked for me , Brad!

Can we assume that you're not a Wiggins fan then?

Personally I liked Brad's speech. "We knew we were the best, we trained hard, and we won." What do people want?! Oh actually, I do know what the British people want:

"We played well, I thought we were the better side, we controlled the game, we were unlucky to concede a late goal and missing a penalty. But the lads fought til the end, and we can hold our heads high. We can take alot of positives from that game."

The British plucky loser attitude. No. The tide has turned. We are winners and we should act like it. For that reason Brad's defiance and 'arrogance' should be embraced as a turning point in how British sportsmaen see themselves and conduct themselves.

No thanks Davey. I much prefer the modesty of Hoy over Wiggins in much the same way that I admire Indurain more than Armstrong. Different strokes* for different folks I guess.

*Wot chu talkin' bout Willis?
