Just to let the members know Hugh(sweepea) had an operation last week to remove his right eye after many years of enduring severe pain in it, although it did not seem to deminise his cycling performances, the operation was a success and after a few weeks recuperation will be back riding his bike , and hopefully improve on this years achievments. i hope you will all join with me and wish him speedy recovery , and to enjoy many more years of competition , and beating the"youngsters"

Yes, best wishes for a speedy recovery Hugh and I'm sure you'll be showing our younger vets how to do it next season - and at all distances!
