Was that the sunday club ride you were on this morning Les?

Not Quite the Sunday Club Run but I do claim full Club Run Points for Myself, John Willy and Skippy. Only half points are claimed for Dai Trigg and John Stroud cos they took the car..........

Being of a certain age and too unfit to race others in those crowded things called road races. I have become a fossil and choose to race by riding time trials in those balmy months we call summer. I know I'll never win anything so, by registering for "Standards" with the VTTA, when I ride a time trial I try to beat my previous best standard at that distance and If I have done by the end of the year I get a prize. (I won Two prizes this year)

All it costs me is £20:50 and (because the banter is good amongst us Fossils) to attend the annual General Meeting (which is where I was headed on Sunday).

So there we have it, I was representing my club, I rode there, I rode back, So I steadfastly claim club run points....... and for Willy and Skippy

Anyone else who's over 40 and wants to do get their standards next year, come and see me in the club on a Friday night and I'll get you the forms.

By the way, don't question why Skippy was at the vets meeting at the tender age of 35, he is an honourary apprentice fossil so that in 5 years when he gets his NVQs he'll be Fossil Technician Level

Les , seeing that I am launching a bid to reclaim the club run trophy and make it mine for a seventh time, I'd like to point out that club delegates going to meetings get full points whether they drive or ride !! But to protect my points, ........ were You, John, Skippy, John Stroud or Dai official delegates ???

Official, Official, What do you mean Official, I delegated John, who delegated willy, who delegated Dai and we all seconded Skippy. That at least made us Quorate ......
