Yes, the Autumn colours were spectacular and vivid. Also likely to be vivid are the bruises on our poor Club Chairman who was found upside down in a ditch by a giggling Martin Edwards and this after being dropped by the hardcore MTB'ers.

CJ muttered something about 'crazy bar-stewards' but regained his composure and continued on to the Glyncorrwg tea stop.

Should that have not read,Fall in the afan valley?C.J's explanation was very candid, I thought he said,"I went with the mountain boys and after 10 mins of cycling and what felt like 200 meters of climbing,I ditched that ride, turned and caught you guys up". I must have miss heard!, my stoker was pushing the pace a bit!. anyhoo, we all thoroughly enjoyed the ride and the company and it was nice to get out with the club as a family,also nice to see Tom hanson out and giving a good account of himself, I'm sure I caught sight of him pushing his dad just before the ponds,the other 50% of the hansons were in two minds about attending, never mind there's always next week. As Alf just said "a cracking ride", nice to see some new and old faces.Roll on next week!.

really good ride, myself and Dave 'Daredevil' Smith took in some of the more challenging trails, and underneath the mud were grining ear to ear after riding down some of the great descents Afan Argoed had to offer. Made a change from 53x12 up the A48 with Sunday shoppers hurling abuse at you! Great great fun.
