PTW

Right - who's up for it?! Start at 2pm Drefach Cricket Club, 70 miles of rolling roads. Looks a good field and will be full by Sunday so are we going to get a PTWCC squad there? I've entered and James is training for the Junior Track champs.

Ummm... I could start a preamble about lack of training, too much weight etc, but I'll cut to the cahse shall?!!

Had to turn myself inside out to get over the big climb on the first lap, (which cut the field in half btw!) and I knew I was going to be in trouble second time round.

Sure enough, I cracked 3/4 way up. Chased for the rest of the lap and frustratingly I could see what remained of the group barely 200 metres away at times. However, in that wind and on those roads the odds were against me, and the temptation of the HQ was too much...

so I packed at the end of the second lap!! More training needed methinks!!

On a plus note, cracking race, well organised, great course and quality full field. Great fun!
