As many of you know, the committee has decided that because we are looking for new sponsors for next year, we will not be ordering any new kit this year.
There are several new members looking for items of kit so how about making your spare kit ( which next year would be obsolete ) available .
To start ...... If some needs it, I've got a long sleeve jacket size 54. Anyone want it phone me.

anyone got a short sleeve jersey in small or even better xsmall that I can buy/loan off you for the ras (wednesday-sunday this week)? Otherwise I'll just have to get the yellow jersey for the race... or wear my quite ripped club jersey!

Yes Jon, the jersey is now at CJ 's yard .... behind the Somerset Arms in Taibach.
If you can't get over, how about Dave Crowley picking it up for you ? ( Hope you don't mind the suggestion Davey )

Just a thought, but are we keeping the layout of the new kit (colour and pattern) the same as the existing kit?

That would be the logical way of doing it wouldn't it? _______________ "The most important thing in life is not to have the most, but to need the least.” Plato (my favourite Disney character).

Had to ask, simply because, I was told (wether it's right or not) that someone has been appointed to design the new kit.

I think the idea is to keep the colours the same, and hopefully the overall design. Obviously the sponsors will need re-jigging. However I think the shorts are going to have a re-think, but nothing that deviates too much from the current design.
Having said all that, the whole process is (I believe) in the early stages. I personally don't think it would be a good idea to change too much from the current design. _______________ The Force is strong in this one...

I've got to agree with you on the current design Davey, quite professional looking me thinks!,but a lot of speculation on our part, your goodself, myself and young Alf,soooo, could someone presently sitting on the Committee shed some light on the subject and put an end to all this guess work.
p.s. was it or was it not mentioned in the A.G.M. that a meeting was going to be set up concerning the sponsorship and the club kit?

The issues regarding the new kit are in hand. At the moment, we are just finalising the details of sponsors.
Anyone else interested in sponsoring the club, speak to the chairman - soon !!

Wouldn't care to explain these "issues" would you Anthony ?I don't want this to seem like some personal crusade on my part, I'm only voiceing some questions being asked by the silent minority, who will turn out to be the majority after the event.Thats why I mentioned a special meeting concerning the new kit, because I don't think it right to air some of the afore mentioned concerns on this site. There's been at least 40+ views on this page since this afternoon,I dare say quite a few of those are from people who have expressed an oppinion concerning the kit and I'd just like to say to them speak now or forever hold your piece.

No controversial issues Kevin. We are looking into designs, quality and costings and all will be presented at the agm for acceptance. Nothing will be done before then and without approval by the members.
"I dare say quite a few of those are from people who have expressed an oppinion concerning the kit and I'd just like to say to them speak now or forever hold your piece. "
As regards the voiced concerns .... As you say above, this is a free and open forum and any concerns for ANY issue would always be welcome (.... on the relevant threads please )

Thank you Anthony,a concise and appreciated explanation. It answers most of the questions asked,it still leaves 1 or 2 more unanswered, but as you say these can be broached at the next A.G.M.
