Now that I'm home, I've realised that my right bicep hurts more than my legs. What does this mean?
Does this mean I should ride round the velodrome the other way? _______________ Electric bikes are great. They give ordinary people the chance to know what it feels like to be me. |

Apparently up in Manchester, they ride clock wise around the track every 3rd week, not for the riders but to minimize the wear to the track, might be worth phoning Newport to find out if they do a similar thing.

Well after not riding a bike since the NYD TT due to a knee injury, I came back last night for a very enjoyable session. I was in the very novice group (4 off)
and was soon ripping up the track and heaving my lungs up. What I can say that if there is another session I will be there Don't be wooried that you won't be able to ride a fixie, or that there are no brakes, just hang on for grim death (apparently thats what Bill did )p.s. whats that madison thing all about ??, looks b****y dangerous throwing people around the track, bit like wrestling on wheels. ![]() _______________ "We can't all be heroes because somebody has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by" |

I've spoken to my contact at Newport, who asures me that they will be starting the "clockwise revolution" in the spring. The first one will be held on Tues 1/4/08 and those people who use their own steeds will have to reverse their tyres to allow for the wear to the opposite side.

reverse your tyres now! bicycle tyres do not wear on one side more than the other on the track, Fact. The only tyres that wear are from the motorbike/derny, prehaps they might go clockwise. You wont get a group of cyclists doing it. Rhys

I'll be at the next one. Rhys - I suspect Isaac is not being entirely truthful!

Well, if you don't beleive me, next time you're down the track ask one of the officials, they'll be able to put you straight and I don't think they'll let the derny go in the opposite direction to the cyclists, that's just crazy talk!.

Did those people in Newport really let you have a free session at the Newport Velodrome bikes included??
