Rhys had an accident in training at the Cottbus track in Germany today.
He has a broken collar bone and will not be taking any further part in the European Championships.
I will be picking im up from Bristol tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about that David and get well soon Rhys. Let's hope you recover as quickly as you did from your wrist injuries a few years ago! It was encouraging to hear about Verbrugge yesterday who broke his leg in three places (three parts of his leg and not three different towns) last year and was riding the TdF yesterday.

I must say Rhys has'nt had the best of luck this year.Rhys was due to ride the Points race at the Europeans. An event he won at the revelution meeting. Beating Chris newton into 2nd place. i know he was well up for this week.
It's all the harder when you know you are on form. Two years ago Geraint has a career threatening crash in Australia and this week end he road the TDF. It is still all there for Rhys. Get well soon from the Rowe Family. |
