Well 3 down and one to go!

Chepstow, Tintern, Monmouth, Hay-on-Wye, Builth Wells, Llandovery, Llanwrda, Lampeter, Tregaron, Newquay, Synod Inn, Llanybydder, Llansawel, Llanwrda, Llandovery, Brecon, Abergavenny, Usk, Chepstow.

All in all, it went better than expected and I'm quite chuffed. I'm riding the 300km 'Peacocks and Kites' next weekend and then the big one, the 600km Bryan Chapman which essentially is the Severn Bridge to the Menai Bridge and back.

But I've got to get lower gears!

P.S. Guess who forget his mitts? 402km with bare hands! The last time I had blisters on my hands was when I was 15...

Bill Gannon - I can strongly recommend the Cateye 530's. I had two up front and you can angle one out and down to pick out the kerb (if there is one!) and have the other straight ahead. I can't see me bothering with the Dynohub option now although many of the hardcore AUK's had them on. But, there again, the group of three that I rode the last 60km with were all on 530's.

Well done Alf. Very impressive mileage.

How long did you take ?

21 hours (06.00hrs Sat to 03.00hrs Sun) and the time limit was 27 hours. I left the HQ in good spirits and proceeded to fall asleep on the motorway (not clever, I know) . I had to have 20 minutes at Cardiff West before resuming my journey and feel totally wasted this afternoon.
