Lets get a list going .....
Anyone had any close shaves lately ?
I had an idiot in a van do a right turn across me this morning. I turned to my right to let my shoulder take the worst of the impact and somehow and with bike handling skills of which Griff would have been proud, bounced and swerved around the van !! The driver just drove off !!

I was at the Dyffryn Arms heading for Brynhyfryd the other week. Lights were red and there were a small queue of cars up ahead. Suddenly, a (female) driver in a small black car at the side of the road started pulling out right in front of me. I swore and rapidly lost about 15mph, certain we would collide or I would get forced into oncoming traffic.
Turns out she was just moving to a better parking place and proceeded to gently pull back in again, never once taking her eyes off the left-hand kerb. She was oblivious to my presence throughout the whole manoeuvre, unlike some rather wide-eyed pedestrians. _______________ Electric bikes are great. They give ordinary people the chance to know what it feels like to be me.

Yeah, last Saturday. Margam Crem roundabout with the 'classic' fast car coming up the slip-road and entering the roundabout without looking right and nearly taking me out!
To be fair to the motorist, I did get an apology. _______________ "The most important thing in life is not to have the most, but to need the least.” Plato (my favourite Disney character).

Ouch.
I had another close shave today. Just got to the top of Stormy when a car came across from the lanes on the right-hand side and decided not to bother waiting for a gap in the traffic but join the carriageway by turning right into the right-hand lane thus causing the cars overtaking me to swerve back into the left-hand lane and squeeze past very close. Gobsmacked. _______________ "The most important thing in life is not to have the most, but to need the least.” Plato (my favourite Disney character).
