Having started my season, I am now keen to do this race next.

It is on a fairly hilly course, with a stinking great big hill in the middle. It is a 234J race.

I think Jon H could do well on this, and it would be excellent training for James Lew ahead of the 2-day.

Entries have to be in by today(!) but I'm sure that as long as you get them in by the end of the week you will be fine.

Do I have any takers? :P

With Jon H unavailable, and the rest of the PTWCC squad on TT or nappy changing duties James Lewis and I faced the 80+ field of riders alone on Sunday.

THere were a few 'organisational difficulties' whcih I'm sure the Cwmcarn will have learnt from for next year, but on the whole it was a great day in the saddle.
James did exceptionally well, finishing the race depsite a fracas with a 'spectator', by his own admission not a climber but still hauled himself up that beast of a hill 6 times. Well done! Quality miles in the bank.
As for me, finished in what remained of the bunch, a strong start led to a weak finish I'm afraid, as my lack of training caught up with me.
Glorious day for it however, and bodes well for the 2-day in a couple of weeks. Roll on!
The race was won by Richard Harris of Cwmcarn.
