Just got back in from the race.
Riders - about 80
Course - Storey Arms - Defynnog 68 miles

Quite an easy race until we got to Defynnog! Went over super steep 18% gradient climb 3 times during the race. On the first 2 times I used way to big a gear and went out the back. Thankfully was able to join a small group of riders and we got back into the peloton after a few miles of chasing. On the 3rd and final time over the climb still went out the back but this time not so bad however the chase to get back into the peloton of now around 20 riders was hard. Managed it and with about 6 miles to go was in the front group.
Straight after getting back into this group I stupidly decided that I should get on the front and drill it for a bit. Then an attack from Rhys Lloyd and I was out the back with some other riders. Dropped all the riders I was with but never was able to catch the front group again and came in about 45 secs down on them.
Position I finished - around 20th to 25th or so place which I'm pleased with considering its only my 3rd ever open road race and 1st race over 50 miles.
I saw James Suter coming in about 10 minutes down on me but not sure where he placed.
