The continued good weather means we'll have no problems this week which sees our fourth visit to the '13' course. There's not much wind on the forecast so with warm temperatures it could well be a PB fest so don't miss out.

Anyway, moving on to the time-trial itself here are the essentials;

We meet up at the Neath Canal Car Park in Resolven for signing on from about 18.10hrs and closing at 18.40hrs for a prompt 19.00hrs race start up near Glynneath.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

START on the B4242 Old Vale of Neath Road at unused entrance just south-west of the new Health Centre in Glynneath. Proceed south-west on the B4242 to Resolven junction. Continue south-west on the B4242 passing through Abergarwed village and Ynysarwed village to the "Rock and Fountain" hill, climb and continue to TURN with care at the break in the dual-carriageway opposite the Groundhog factory at Ynysgerwen, SA10 8HH (6.5 miles).

Descend hill and retrace route north-eastwards along the B4242 through Ynysarwed village and Abergarwed village. Continue north-eastwards through Resolven junction and past Rheola Pond to FINISH directly opposite the start.

The ride to the start is 3.2 miles or 15 mins at a 13mph plod.

A lovely golden evening tonight with just a bit of a headwind down to the turn although this is not so bad on the sheltered back road. Dame Shirley kicked things off but first back was Hugh Pascoe, returning to us after his triathlon shenanigans, quickly followed by Graham Rogerson who came really close to breaking the '30' barrier but at least he took the win and claimed 20 points. Don't be alarmed at Emma's modest time as she was tapering down and riding to reduced watts or some mumbo jumbo. Well done everyone!

Alfie's MOTM goes to Graham Rogerson for a fast time and for taking the win but the Concours d'elegance award goes to Stephen Morgan for his cute little Italian sports car based on a 1960's era Fiat 500 and respendent in Celeste (like a Bianchi).
