Light rain showers with light winds - Race Time Temp 15°C

This is the race time forecast for Resolven but thundery showers are also forecast for late afternoon/early evening. On a more positive note, the wind speed looks like being about 5mph but backing around to give a headwind on the return leg. Anyway, with 48 hours to go, it's all guess work so here are the essentials;

1. We meet up at the Neath Canal Car Park in Resolven for signing on from about 18.15hrs and closing at 18.45hrs for a prompt 19.00hrs race start.

2. You have to be a member of the PTW or a second-claim member of the PTW. There is no 'single race' fee - you have to join the club as a first-claim or second-claim member and for 2024 this is now £40.00 (£30.00 + £10.00 supplement).

RC10/22R Course Description

START on the Vale of Neath Supplier Estate service road opposite Lamp Post No. 18. Proceed eastwards along the service road to the Resolven Roundabout (0.458 miles). (Safety Notice:- Do not cross the centre line of the road on the right hand bend). Take the 1st exit left along A465 dual carriageway westbound to the 1st exit left (4.862 miles). Continue up the loop to the small Tonna Roundabout where take the 1st exit to the large Aberdulais Interchange. Take the 4th exit (5.505 miles) to proceed down the slip road to re-join A465 dual carriageway. Between us all we turned a wet and gloomy night into a brilliant night! Solid debut rides by two new club members and a guest with tremendous potential, a new R10/22G course record by Dylan Sage plus Emma Davies breaking her own Ladies club course record.

Now I do like to mix Alfie's MOTM broadly equally between the stars, the triers and the improvers but this week I can't see further than Dylan Sage... 20:30 on the freakin' back road!!

As always, big thanks to Will and Dai plus Tony Howell for nipping down to the turn. Well done everyone - a good night.
