Sunny with a gentle breeze (11 mph) - Race Time Temp 20°C

As our Open 25-mile 4-up TTT has been cancelled (due to a very low entry) we are going to run a 30-mile club event for solo riders and this has the benefit of giving us a winner of the 30-mile Handicap Trophy which would have otherwise stood in CJ's office on it's own whilst all the other trophies were out getting plastered and dancing the night away.

Effectively, it's two laps of the '15' but starts a few hundred yards down the valley (i.e. further left from the Resolven 'T' junction).

Just to confirm that tonight's Handicap 30 is very much like a normal club event - sign on by 18.45hrs for a prompt 19.00hrs start. The start is about half-a-mile from the car park and about 0.3 miles from last week's start for the '15'. We'll Strava it on foot this evening.

Marshall positions are covered and in order that you'll reach them; Ynysygerwen (Grog) - Aberdulais (Stu) - Resolven Rbt (Dan) - McDonalds (Spot) - Resolven 'T' Junction (Alf & Dai). Good luck to all riders!

SB 10 is simply your seasons best 10 time in a PTW Club Event on the dual and EST 30 is what we think you'll do when allowing for a bit of fade over the tripled distance.

BTW if your name is on the above it's not compulsory to ride!

Good luck to all who do enter on the night.

Please note that this event is not part of the club event points competition (basically, as it was unexpected).

Thanks to Will and Dai for their usual good work. We needed more marshals on this bigger circuit so I'm grateful to Graham Rogerson, Stuart Evans, JD and Joan, Skippy, Spot, Dai and Lynette.

Congratulations to Karl Rees for a fine win in the Handicap 30 and I think it's genuine form and not sandbagging! Nice one Karl and how nice to see John Shehan well up there as well.
