Wow, they'd be ideal for my Super Galaxy. Please reserve them for me.
In fact, they're almost identical to the ones Vernon hand-built for me. I've nearly gone through the rim of my front wheel (again). That's what happens with rim-braking, but at least that forces you to replace the wheels on a regular basis. _______________ Electric bikes are great. They give ordinary people the chance to know what it feels like to be me. |

I think I am getting close to going through the rims again. Mind you, based on the date of this thread it appears the wheels have been on the bike for 5 years, and have therefore done about 15 thousand (often heavily laden) miles.
The hubs and spokes are still perfect, as far as I can tell. Really impressive compared to the Weinmann rear wheel that was on previously (junk). This long term test was brought to you by the Port Talbot Wheelers in association with the Dawes SuperGalaxy (sadly discontinued in its 49th year, boo). _______________ Electric bikes are great.
