Wet and Windy - Race Time Temp 16C

I normally use official BBC Weather language but it's worse than my summary! But there's still 36 hours to race time so let's hope we get some sort of weather window and please remember that it's a '13'.

The essentials;

1. We meet up at the Neath Canal Car Park in Resolven for signing on from about 18.00hrs and closing at 18.45hrs for a prompt 19.00hrs race start.

2. You have to be member of the PTW or a second-claim member of the PTW. There is no 'single race' fee - you have to join the club as a first-claim or second-claim member.

By concensus, the event was switched to the R10/23.

Only four brave souls raced tonight but they were rewarded with a noticeable drop in the wind, no real downpours and any bum crack discomfort from the wet roads was eased by good times all around.

With only four riders it was no surprise that Neil Seaward romped through the field to get back first with a new PB by 5 seconds for the R10/23 and only 90 seconds slower than his ride on the DC last week. That's Alfie's 'man of the match' taken care of then!

The other three riders all finished in a 17-second burst with Stephan Wilcox just 5 seconds away from a PB followed by Graham Rogerson who was about half-a-minute down on his SB but happy enough to capture another point in the road bike championship. However, there was mixed feelings for Hollie Labunsky who was just one measly second away from a new SB but it was a good ride though.
