Just a few weeks until an early season challenge. The Port Talbot Wheelers 25 Mile 2-up Team Time Trial on 11 March!

Due to roadworks, this will be on R25/3H again this year

Road bikes are just as welcome as TT bikes so no excuses!

Matt Put me down for pusher off, if that is politically correct?

Thanks JD!

Thanks Pip, have you ever worried about being politically correct?!

We are going to have to move this event to R25/3H again this year... but the good news is that it's because the back road section is finally going to be resurfaced! Hopefully this will mean an excellent surface for Alf's event and the Presidents Road Race

Just checking - Are we still using the TRW as the HQ?

I'm delighted to say that once again we have a full field for this event, plus some reserve teams. The start sheet etc will be out at some point in the next few days

Some more help on the day would be appreciated. A number spotter to sit with the finish time keeper, some help for Mandy, and a few extra marshals please

Hi Matt - do you want me to do the result board sheet? If so, send me the file please.

I'll finalise it and take it to the printer on Thursday morning so that we can work in any reserve changes.

It's getting close to the event now and I really could do with some more marshals. In particular I really need someone who has good eyesight to sit with the finishing timekeeper to help spot numbers, I have to have a marshal at the start and some more help at the Tonna/Aberdulais roundabout to make sure the riders go the right way

The more marshals we can put out there, the better. It really helps the riders feel safe, sets our events apart from some others, and I feel much better when you guys don't have to sit alone with nobody else in sight.

This was my third year running the 2 up, and once again many of you have all made it very easy for me. I am very grateful to all who gave up time to make this event a great success yet again- Thank you all.

The event went very well, with an incredible 48:34 being the winning time from Josh Sandman (a junior!!) and Dean Ware. The fastest PTW member was Owain Robers who partnered with Bynea's Josh Townsend to do a 56:52, followed by PTW's top team of Mark Hillier and Andrew Lewis with a 1:00:34, just pipping Heath Williams' solo 1:00:41. The PTW club lantern rouge went to David Hendry and Ross Morgan with their 1:05:49

The results can be downloaded from:

Cover Sheet- https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/documents/download/3039
Results List- https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/documents/download/3038

Thanks once again for the help and support today. Special thanks to Wendy and Gareth for clearing the debris after a car accident
