It's nearly time for PTW's next trip to Newport Velodrome! We have the track on Sunday 30th July from 1 until 3pm. Jason Streather will be coaching, there will be as much track time available as we can handle!

All are welcome- whether you're a track novice or have been before.

£20 for the 2 hours, if you don't have a track bike then bikes are available to hire from the track for about £10 (they use Look Keo pedals but trainers can be used with toe straps)

For anyone who wants to pay me through Paypal send as a gift to-

Cheers Blanco, the bike hire is paid to the velodrome on the day at the reception

If there are many vehicles going, perhaps we can car share?

Electric bikes are great. They give ordinary people the chance to know what it feels like to be me.

I'm just catching up with everything after a much needed short holiday ;) thanks for the PayPal payments Blanco and Bill

Nice one Ow. You have made ze list.

Car sharing- great if you can organise it between yourselves. Bonus points for encouraging extra people to ride

I got a negative point for not going. Sorry I couldn't make it. Gutted.

Incidentally, for fans of the Port Talbot Plaza cinema, here is a radio programme about it by Michael Sheen:

Quite appropriate for this forum since all of our rides start there.

Nice link Bill.

Mandy and I have some affection for the dear old Plaza as;

1. We had our first date there*.

2. Her Mum and Dad met there in the 1950's. Her mum was an usherette and her Dad was the projectionist.

* September 1979 - The Deer Hunter. With hindsight, not the most romantic film but there were no multiplexes showing a wide variety of films in those days!
