This week we have another '10' on the R10/22A dual-carriageway course and a welcome return to our regular 19.00hrs start - tempting for me as I have been known to use the extra time to grab a bag of chips in Resolven and scoff them before driving into the car park all innocent like.

Anyway, we meet up at the Neath Canal Car Park in Resolven for signing on at between 18.15hrs and 18.45hrs for a prompt 19.00hrs start.

Remember, you have to be member of the PTW (and why wouldn't you be?) or a second-claim member of the PTW. There is no 'single race' fee - you have to join the club as a first-claim or second-claim member.

Denotes PB

Still a bit cool but the wind did drop to make it a reasonable night albeit with no PB's reported (please say so if you did) although I am putting Darren Edwards down for a PB.

Eden Rae Davies got the event under way with a solid sub-30 ride whilst Paul Naysmith ambled gracefully across the finish line to earn a 'must try harder' school report. Dean Ware was guilty of perhaps trying a bit too hard with a wild and wide 'Hicks' style finishing bend but still finished second with an excellent 21.38 and there's plenty of trimming down of that time to be had in the weeks to come.

Hollie was dressed for the weather but still snuck under the 26-minute barrier whilst Michelle Fishbourne (Robertson as was) did a solid 25.12 and Nadine Cannon knocked out another 23 to take the Ladies win.

Young Morgan Ley did a 25.10 on very little specific training whilst Les Thomas was satisfied to have beaten a few skinny boys and there's some merit in that. New club member Dean Johnston made an excellent start to his club event season with an impressive 23.12 whilst Owain continued his impressive start to the season with a time snapping at the silver heels of Stuart Evans.

At the sharp end of the bike race, Chris Jones won with a 21.22 and it remains to be seen whether the gaps will narrow or open from this point.

BTW amazing support on the night and it was nice to see Nigel back.

Bugger! I left my signs out last night.

I'll pick them up in the morning (Sat) but please let me know if someone has already taken them down. Ta!
