Our second club event of the season is another '10' on the R10/22A dual-carriageway course and the weather looks decidedly cool and overcast but thankfully dry.

Anyway, we meet up at the Neath Canal Car Park in Resolven for signing on at between 18.00hrs and 18.15hrs for a prompt 18.30hrs start.

Remember, you have to be member of the PTW (and why wouldn't you be?) or a second-claim member of the PTW. There is no 'single race' fee - you have to join the club as a first-claim or second-claim member.

Denotes PB

A much cooler and breezier night than last week and nobody was expected to go forward but a lot of you did so well done! Darren Edwards (on a road bike) proved once again, that a good roadman can always pull a good TT out of the bag (Dave Crowley is, of course, the exception that proves the rule) getting to the finish before the timekeeper

We had excellent rides from our Ladies with our two 'Velosisters' actually leading the field until quite late on and Nadine Cannon secured a PB by one second whilst Stephanie Post finished fifth on the night with an excellent 22:33 - now that is a fast delivery! Our Shirl got under evens and Diane from the Bynea did a very low '27' and both rides promise new PB's later in the series. It's compulsory around here.

Heath Williams was the unluckiest rider of the night with a rear wheel puncture whilst Matt Smith again caught the Resolven rush-hour traffic coming in to the finish. Andrew Blanco-Martin (to name but three) took everyone back to the early 90's and just needed a flouro headband and a Kraftwerk soundtrack to complete the look.

At the sharp end of the bike race, we had PB's from Owain Roberts and Neil Seaward whilst Rod Hicks was satisfyingly close to our winner on the night Chris Jones (RBW). If you want to know the 10-mile time difference between a road bike and a TT bike then just ask Chris Jones who went forward exactly two minutes. Food for thought Darren?

Thanks to Dai Triggs for pushing off and admin support.
