Our final Thursday of the season and I know that some of you haven't reached your potential (I'm looking at you Shirley Howell) so c'mon and make it a good 'un!

With about 40 hours to go the forecast is overcast but dry and the wind speeds looks pretty light according to the non-winning lottery ticket I've just torn up and thrown into the air because most of it's fallen into my skinny latte.

Meet up at the Neath Canal Car Park in Resolven for signing on from about 18.00hrs to 18.20hrs and an approximate 18.30hrs start.

START on the factory service road at the Vale of Neath Enterprise Park and proceed eastwards along the service road to the Resolven Rbt taking the 1st exit Left and then smash it in a westerly direction along the A465 dual-carriageway.

Take the very 1st slip road off the dual-carriageway and bear left to climb up to the small Tonna Rbt (5.136 miles) taking the 1st exit Left to the large Aberdulais Interchange and circle the Rbt to take the 4th exit, descending the slip road to carefully re-join the A465 dual-carriageway going in an easterly direction.

Smash it eastwards to the Resolven Rbt (shut up legs) taking the 1st exit Left to finish just after the turning into the car park we meet up at.

Don't forget - we start at 18.30hrs.

Like Dolly Parton's boob tube it was tight at the top. Well done to Nick Brown on a narrow win on a sticky night that was just too windy for anything special. I'm just so relieved that everyone got back safely after the cone monster descended on both sides of the carriageway after signing on had commenced. Least said soonest mended.

Well done on a great club event season! Many of you have improved so much and set yourself a challenge for next season. Good luck for those of you with Open events still to come and especially to Heath Williams in the WCA 100 on Sunday.

As always, thanks to John Willy for pushing off and to Nigel Jones for admin help and being the second timekeeper. As we've reached the end of the season I'd also like to thank Matt Smith for scrambling up and down a bank on most weeks to get a Cycle Event sign set up.
