No comments from me about the weather except to say that I've booked the weather and the weather will be on time.

Apart from the hill climb weekend we have just two club events remaining and both now start at the earlier time of 18.30hrs which might look a bit silly on a sunny late summer evening but will be prudent on a gloomy night.

Meet up at the Neath Canal Car Park in Resolven for signing on from about 18.00hrs to 18.20hrs and an approximate 18.30hrs start.

START on the factory service road at the Vale of Neath Enterprise Park and proceed eastwards along the service road to the Resolven Rbt taking the 1st exit Left and then smash it in a westerly direction along the A465 dual-carriageway.

Take the very 1st slip road off the dual-carriageway and bear left to climb up to the small Tonna Rbt (5.136 miles) taking the 1st exit Left to the large Aberdulais Interchange and circle the Rbt to take the 4th exit, descending the slip road to carefully re-join the A465 dual-carriageway going in an easterly direction.

Smash it eastwards to the Resolven Rbt (shut up legs) taking the 1st exit Left to finish just after the turning into the car park we meet up at.

An unexpectedly good night and to think that I was deliberating about what course to use as I drove up in the gloom but at least the spray was virtually non-existant so game on! I was glad to to see Hollie sign on to make it 14 riders starting instead of 'unlucky' 13 but any bad luck on the night went straight to Brad's front wheel and a brand new tub too. Ouch!

First rider off was John Deeley (now correctly allocated to his home club) who rode on a fairly beefy 26" wheel tandem ON HIS OWN and finished with a jammed-on front disc brake so had more of a work out than his crap modest time might suggest. Matt Smith is studying the training benefits as we speak.

Our two Ladies were first, er, men home with another PB for Nadine who will be hoping for a hat-trick next week. Owain could also be on for a hat-trick next week after doing a 24:08 and was genuinely disappointed not to get a '23'. Steady now. Speaking of hat-tricks, Stuart Evans, our resident geriatric rode in a spot of rain - gasp!

Unusually, the rest of our PB's came at the sharp end with Nicky, Lloyd and Rod getting new PB's and Rod trimming a full 10 seconds off last weeks PB to narrowly take the win from Lloyd and giving Nigel Jones a heart attack.

Once again, a good night's racing - well done everyone. Thanks to Will for pushing off and for some world-class banter and also to Nigel Jones for support on the night.

Well done all - some great times in there. The tub has been sent off to hospital.
Hope to see you all next week.
